Information Processed by the App

The app reads the following information on your device:

• Ambient light, proximity sensor readings, and foldable-device hinge angle;
• Current screen brightness and system brightness mode;
• Device charging state;
• The brightness curve, response speeds, change threshold, and other preferences you configure.

Sensor readings are used only to calculate screen brightness in real time and are not retained as a history. Your preferences remain in the app’s private storage on your device.

Data Collection, Sharing, and Network Access

PA Auto Brightness has no network permission. It does not collect or upload personal data, device data, or sensor data, and it does not share data with the developer or any third party.

The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or third-party data SDKs and does not create user accounts.

How System Permissions Are Used

Modify system settings

Writes screen brightness values and changes the system brightness mode.

Notifications

Shows the automatic brightness foreground service, its current state, and a stop action.

Boot completed

Resumes automatic brightness only if you had previously enabled it.

Device sensors

Android provides ambient light, proximity, and hinge sensors locally. No location permission is involved.

The app does not use Accessibility services, Shizuku, root access, screen-content reading, or simulated taps.

Data Retention and Deletion

System backup is disabled. Uninstalling the app deletes the brightness curve and other on-device preferences. The app holds no cloud data, so there is no account or cloud data deletion request to submit to the developer.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not designed to collect information from children and does not collect any user data.

Changes to This Policy

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated with the app and shown both in the app and on this page.
